amateurs, professionals and competition drivers:
Our instructors are
qualified in all aspects of off road driving skills including navigation
and winching techniques and although we follow a syllabus, we will adapt
each course to suit the needs and levels of our students.

Introduction
to off-roading - 1/2 or 1 day
Learn about your 4x4 and how to use it. This course covers :-

Advanced
off-road techniques - 1 day
This is the course for people who have off-road experience and require
further training to help improve skills. This course includes:-
- Reading and negotiating

- Water crossing
- Advanced recovery
techniques
- Vehicle preparation
and maintenance
GPS
and navigation - 1 day
An in-depth course on how to use and understand GPS systems. :-
- Maps and how to
use them
- Understanding the
GPS system
- Types of GPS and
electronic mapping systems
- How to use a GPS
unit
Winch
training - 1 or 2 day
Whether you are a professional user or a leisure/competition user, we
can tailor the course to suit your needs. During this training you will
learn about:-
- Types of winch;
Hydraulic, PTO, capstan, hand and electric winches
- Risk assesment
- Safe and effective
use of winches and winching techniques
- Use of winch accessories
such as ground anchors, strops and snatch blocks
During training you
will learn all the correct techniques to comply with health and safety
legislation.
Challenge
team training - 2 days (minimum 2 cars with a maximum of 2 people
per car)
On the challenge training weekend we cover: -
- Winching techniques
- Mastering ground
anchors
- Navigation
- Competition planning
- Planning your approach
to punches and navigation
- Mastering speed
and technical sections
- Vehicle preparation
and maintenance
- Equipment selection
All followed by a
small competition to test your skills.
This weekend includes overnight accommodation (Bed & Breakfast) and
a meal on Saturday evening.
